FELICITY CELESTE BRUCE

Felicity Celeste Bruce is a multicultural Australian artist whose practice primarily explores geometric abstraction within post-minimalism and expanded painting. Her practice increases the tension between physical and metaphysical reality. Outcomes are often illogical, but non-illusionistic, and engage the mind, but not over matter. Folds, flips and discs are common modular forms found in her works as conceptual studio interventions as well as ongoing colour stories.
Bruce has a Master of Visual Art with Distinction from Griffith University, Queensland College of Art and Design (QCAD). Career highlights include: group exhibition, On Planar, in Ipswich Community Gallery with Oliver Strauss and Yingxi Xu; duo exhibition, Recoil (remain), with Oliver Strauss; and solo exhibition, Sovereign State of Mind. In 2026 she co-founded artist run initiative, Host, with Shari O’Dwyer. Bruce has a passion for collaborative projects and hopes to establish herself as a professional artist in Australia and continue her research through doctoral studies. She has an affinity for yellow and the moon.
