Recoil (remain)

May 6 - May 24, 2025

Grey Street Gallery QCAD

Recoil (remain) is a collaboration between Felicity Celeste Bruce and Oliver Strauss. The exhibition goes into the deeply felt imprint of identity from the complex dynamic between people in domestic violence, reflecting on unlearning physical and mental reflexes. This is observed through conscious mark making, the physical acts of leaving impressions and creases, and drawing attention to boundaries. Together the artists engage in minimalist techniques to represent the challenges of communicating the experience of DV and improve how it is comprehended both internally and socially.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Make it stand out.
